I may be looking, but what am I seeing?
>> Getting 2020 Spiritual Vision

- With glasses or without, the person is still looking
- Without glasses though, the person may not be seeing what is far away, though still looking towards the object.
- I can therefore be looking but not necessarily seeing
When you look out at the year 2020, what do you see?

What is your Vision for 2020?
- Vision >> what you see after looking??

What is being seen as people look out at the world?

>> Some see – problems, frustrations stagnation, economic turmoil, political instability,

>> Some see breakthrough & magnification >> ARCI

… health, finances, marriage

… ARCI moving into greater levels
Vision >> various definitions…

An aspirational description of what an organization would like to achieve or accomplish in the mid-term or long-term future

Some fundamentals of vision from a biblical perspective..

What you see, you can receive

What you behold, you become
-
What you have revelation of, you can walk into its manifestation
Basically

You can receive (from the kingdom??) only what you can perceive & understand??

You get what you see! >> You can get what you have a revelation of!

One may be looking but not seeing!
Mark 4:11-12 (NKJV)

And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,

so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’ ”
Faith with its corresponding action is the oil that lubricates or empowers vision
>> Helps one move closer to what one sees ( but which has not manifested yet) after looking
>> The spiritual glasses the brings vision into reality (perspective / focus)
>> Helps one to see clearly & move towards (see through (pun intended), focus on ) what one has looked at.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.(NKJV)

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (NIV)

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (NLT)

>> One basically believes in (looks forward to) something they have not yet seen physically
What or who you have faith in is the anchor or foundation that holds up the vision
E.g. Pleasing Faith in God >> We believe that He exists and that He shall reward ( come through for you in that situation)… as per His character of giving that situation life and life in abundance (full potential)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him…Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
Faith in the devil >> believe that he exists and that he rewards ( as per his fruit / character — stealing, killing & destruction) >> selling ones soul
John 10:10
- The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Abrams vision 2020
Anchor Scripture
Genesis 13:5-18 (NIV)
5 Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. 6 But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. 7 And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.
8 So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”
10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: 12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom. 13 Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.
14 The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring[d] forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”
18 So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the Lord.

There is a need for us to put on our spiritual glasses for 2020

See things the way God sees them
-
Align our vision with that of the Lord
So what is this looking and seeing?
We look with our eyes, but see with our hearts

There is a spiritual dimension to seeing (the heart)

Out of our hearts flow the issues of life...Proverbs 4:23
-
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks…Luke 6:45
- For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he….Proverbs 23:7
What we speak originates from what we have seen with our hearts
-
The condition of our heart determines how we see things
- And… how we look at things (perspective) will determine how we see them (our thinking or thoughts or conclusions about it)

>> We may all look at a certain situation, but see different things
Abram & Lot looked at the land…
- Lot >> looked (inward / self) and saw fertile land and chose for himself – Selfish heart
- Abram >> Looked outward & gave Lot first choice – the Lord chose for him – Selfless (surrendered) heart
Looking and seeing things from God’s perspective
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death…Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

Isaiah 55:8-9(NKJV)
- “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
- “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
>> Jesus – I only do what I see my Father doing…John 5:19
>> Walk by faith and not by sight…2 Corinthians 5:7

… We are urged to walk by what we see from our hearts (Spiritual discernment , God’s perspective) and not what we look at ( from our / world’s perspective) without discernment…or…
- We are urged to walk by what we look at, but see it from the Truth angle (God’s perspective is the perfect truth of a / any situation)
- …God’s perspective could possibly be termed as the (only) Way to the Truth of Life ( and life in abundance / to its fullest / bringing to its full potential) of that situation
The spiritual perspective takes precedence over the physical one as it is eternal.

while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal….2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV)
Light is also important for seeing..
>> ….Getting a revelation of & speaking / working / walking it out

You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways…Job 22:28 (NKJV)
- Revelation (light / insight on how to perform or fulfill ) will come to & connect a declaration (by faith) to its establishment.
…Walking in light (revelation) is the action that breaths life into faith to ensure it is alive so that it can be established (take root & bear fruit)
- >> You can’t please God without faith in Him, one has to believe He is there and that He shall respond positively (favorably) to that issue you bring to Him…Hebrews 11:6
- >> Faith without actions to prove that one indeed has faith is dead ( of no consequence) …James 2:17
Jesus is the ultimate revelation of life >> the Light of life
>> The Way to the Truth of Life…John 14:6

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”…John 8:12 (NKJV)

He was once chief prosecutor of the Christians…all in the name of God

>> wrong perspective/ spiritual glasses

But a light shown from heaven & he was struck down & blind

>> He had no insight / revelation to what He was doing

…told to go to a street called Straight, House of Judas = Praise

… and put back in line after 3 days of dry fasting and praying

Ananias saw a vision of what he was to for Paul
What are you believing (looking forward to ) for this 2020??

It is connected to what you are seeing concerning the year!
Family or Work battles – parents, spouse, children or a boss..
-
>> See like David and not like Saul & his army vs your Goliath
-
>> Victory in the Name of Jesus
Trying for breakthrough in manifesting the promises of God

Having received numerous prophetic words on marriage, financial breakthrough, work…

See like Elijah in 1 Kings 18:
-
>> go up to your prayer mountain / secret place and pray your promise into manifestation

… The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much….James 5:16 (NKJV)

… when people around you are seeing nothing or clouds / blessings the size of a mans hand
-
… you are there counting your blessings and naming them one by one >> seeing the Hand of God
-
… you are looking at the situation & seeing and expecting a storm of blessings as the windows, doors and gates of heaven are unleashed to pour out your blessing
-
>> abundance of rain for your trouble >> double for your trouble like Job
When you know you are not where you are supposed to be

…and you believe that God wants you to be where you ought to be
-
… living life and life more abundantly in health, finances or relationships

Numbers 13 >> See like Joshua & Caleb

Go out into your Heavenly Fathers house and explore

… For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof…. 1 Corinthians 10:26 (NKJV)

>> And come back with a positive report ( God’s perspective ) of what you see

…and like Abram, what you see, the Lord will give unto you

…for in all things, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus who loves us…Romans 8:37
Summary
What do I see? what do you see?

God promises and sees things a certain way

We need to align ourselves and get into 2020 vision with the Lord about our situation

>> Let the weak say I am strong

>> Let the poor say I am rich
-
>> Let the blind say I can see
-
God promises, but we have to move in revelation (light / insight) to get hold of the promise

>> Faith with an action that proves that we indeed have faith…
Example 2020 Vision of God >> Given as the greatest commandment

Love God with all you heart….

Love man as yourself…

>> Abram gave Lot priority & allowed God to chose for him.
As we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness

All other things shall be added on to us
My people perish from lack of vision
>> Where there is no vision, the people perish…Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

What aspect of my life is perishing from lack of vision?

Seeing it the way God sees it >> Revelation
-
>> My health >> See or get a revelation of God as Jehovah Rapha
-
>> Provision >> Look to and see Jehovah Jireh
-
>> Peace >> Jehovah Shalom
Prayer >> Psalm 91:15-16 & Psalm 27:13

When we call out to the Lord, may He answer us
-
May He be with us in time of trouble, to rescue us and honour us
-
May the Lord satisfy us with long life

….and show us His Salvation

That we may live to see (& experience) the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living…Psalm 27:13
