Genesis 27:40
By your sword you shall live,
And you shall serve your brother;
And it shall come to pass, when you become restless,
That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”
.
When I become restless (agitated, uncomfortable with the present truth of my life, family or nation)
… That I myself shall break the yoke of the enemy from off my neck!!
.
I wonder what I have been waiting for?
Possibly the ” *Serikali Isaidie’ syndrome!?*
Welcome & be blessed with today’s sharing…

.
Am I comfortable in ( tolerant of) my adverse situation?
… as was mentioned earlier
… comfortable in prison!!
… like the Israelites when taken out of Egypt
… Pharaoh when encountering the plagues !
.
Are we as a nation comfortable with the situation we find ourselves in…?
…with the poverty, corruption, immorality…?
… insensitive ( indeed tolerant) to the stealing, killing and destruction – the fruit of the enemy
.
… as opposed to requiring the display of the fruit of the Spirit as the normal
> Boda boda situation on Forest Road where a female motorist was assaulted!!
.
Are we just…
>> Perishing for lack of knowledge…Hosea 4:6
>> Going into exile or captivity for lack of understanding… Isaiah 5:13
>> Just an aspect of fear – to do the right thing!!
.
For indeed as it is said
If I think I can or I think I can’t, I am right!!
…for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he…Proverbs 23:7a (NKJV)

Some of the issues I may be suffering from…
>> Procrastination
.
Exodus 8:8-10 (NIV)
Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “ Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD.”
Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”
“ Tomorrow ,” Pharaoh said. Moses replied, “ It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the LORD our God.
.
>> Excuses
.
John 5:6-9 (NIV)
When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “ Do you want to get well?”
“Sir,” the invalid replied, “ I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”
At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,
.
>>Indifference, despise, pride, arrogance
Genesis 25:24 (NKJV)
And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright .
.
Hebrews 12:16-17 (NIV)
See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done.
.
Parable of the banquet – Matthew 22
4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
5 “ But they paid no attention and went off —one to his field, another to his business.
6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them.
.
.
>> Unprepared
Parable of the 10 virgins – Matthew 25
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
.
Proverbs 24:33-34 (NLT)
A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—
then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
.
.
>> Lazy / Unfruitful / Unproductive
Parable of the Talents – Matthew 25
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?
27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Therefore, indeed…
.
James 2:17 (AMP)
So too, faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead [inoperative and ineffective].
.
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek him.
.
Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force .
.
Luke 10:19-20 (NKJV)
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
.
The caveat being…
.
Matthew 16:26 (NKJV)
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
.
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
.
Indeed…
_When I align my self and operate within the will of God for my life ( my called out purpose)
_…God will endeavor to work out everything I encounter in that journey for my good
… I just remember to keep the love for Him and pursue with diligence the path He has for me
… fighting the good fight, finishing the (my) race, and keeping the faith through it all
.
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
– And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV)
– I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
– Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
.
.
Therefore we are urged to…

.

– lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

– And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
.

– As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
.
Hebrews 4:7 (NIV)
– God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
.
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)
– Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
– fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
.
Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” ( … the year of the Lord’s favor.)
.
1 Peter 5:8-11 (NKJV)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
