Here we continue with the discussion on salvation
… from the question
Can one lose their salvation?
or basically…
How do I know & how sure am I about my salvation?

Last week, our discussion was narrowed down to 2 main scriptures:
That focused around the shock of not being known by the Lord!!
>> And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’… Matthew 7:23
>> But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you .’… Matthew 25:12

Matthew 7:21-27
… we are advised to ensure that we are known by the Lord
… by diligently hearing and doing what He says and wants
… which is the wisdom required to overcome any resistance or persecution
… so that we can gain access into His kingdom.
&
The Parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13
… where, even in Church, we are urged to carry extra oil
… and be found ready with our lamps burning at the coming of Christ
.
Questions may arise such as…
- What does it mean to carry extra oil?
- What does the lamp represent and how is it kept burning?

Discussion points for consideration from last week…
• Am I eligible as a bride of Christ, faithful & known by the Lord?

- Am I faithful ..
… in doing the will of the Father in order to enter the kingdom of heaven?
… in building my life ( house) securely on a rock through the wisdom of hearing and doing the Word?
… in persevering through resistance & persecution ( rain, floods, wind…) and remaining steadfast in doing the will of the Father?
… in ensuring that my lamp is full of oil and is constantly burning?
… to be found ‘rapture ready’ – prepared & ready, with my lamp burning, to be taken by Jesus?

• Can I pass the faith validation test?
… to know if I am indeed attached to the True Vine
… by subjecting my life through the application of the living & powerful Word
… that discerns the thoughts and intention of my heart
… that constantly searches my heart, tests my mind and analyses the fruit that I produce
.
• Is my heart indeed fertile ground?
… for the Word to be heard, understood and applied for impact
… indeed for it to take root, grow and bear fruit in my life
… so that others may indeed taste and see that the Lord is good
… in me and through me for His kingdom and glory

Conclusion & prayer
May the Lord continue to grant us
… His amazing love, mercy & grace…
… His compassion & favour
… to be sanctified wholly by Him
… to & be diligent to be found by Him in peace, holy & blameless
… & to be even more diligent in making our calling & election sure
… so that we may be successful in the process of proving the character of our faith
… that will result in praise, glory & honor at His revelation.
