The creation is waiting for my manifestation as a son of God!
…So that I can do my part to be a blessing to others and glorify God
Do I know what that means?
Do I know my divine destiny?
Do I know what I am supposed to do to achieve it?

Today being Men’s day,
… we shall focus on the role of the male in society.
Our study we will touch on
… Why the male has to understand the value and importance of the female
… Desiring leadership or headship, submission & respect
… but be ready as well for responsibility & accountability
… What is the issue with the male today?
… Endangered species?
… Consequence of a neglected boy child?

Man was created in the image and likeness of God
… blessed by God and charged to be fruitful, multiply, fill and subdue the earth
… and have dominion over the living creatures
… basically maintain, continue and grow what they were given stewardship over
… all in the process of achieving divine destiny – the will, purposes and plans of God
.
Man was made in the image of God
… which is the male & female.. Genesis 1:27
… The image of God is reflected when the male & female come together as a family and work together in unity??
.
The first not good from the Lord was when man was alone. .. Genesis 2:18
.
The male part of man was given the headship or leadership in the union – Genesis 1-2
… Man made before the woman
… Woman made for the man – a helper fit for him… 1 Corinthians 11:9
… Woman was made from the man
… Woman was brought to the man
… Woman was named by the man

… and why males should recognize the precious gift
… and take loving and proper care of the female
… whether as our wives, daughters, mothers, sisters…

Everything God created was good , indeed very good
… except for when man was alone!
… and God said the first not good
… male and female He then created them… Genesis 1:27

~ And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him… Genesis 2:18

~ Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies…Proverbs 31:10

~ He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD… Proverbs 18:22

~ House and wealth are the inheritance from fathers, But a wise, understanding, and sensible wife is [a gift and blessing] from the LORD …Proverbs 19:14

~ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband … Proverbs 12:4a

Every male may want the Proverbs 31 wife… but ..
… what is he doing so that he can be the husband suitable for the Proverbs 31 wife?
… How does he treat the females in his life…especially his mother, sister, wife, daughter?
… What is he doing in society to nurture the type of woman he may desire?
… What is he doing to ensure that he develops other males, especially his sons, to be good guardians of females in society?
… Is he able and willing to pay the price of developing and taking care of the female?

Indeed
..Ephesians 5:25-27
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

>> Power & Authority (Leadership / Headship) comes with Responsibility and Accountability

Example of the responsibility required of male headship.
> Abraham…
… Was to be an example to his family, leading and guiding them…
- In the way of the Lord
- To do righteousness and justice
… so that they may be able to receive and contain the large blessing that Lord would give Abraham
… and for the family and his generations to be a blessing to the world
… for the glory of the Lord.
Genesis 18:18-19 NKJV
– since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
– For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

– And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments.

>> Leadership roles usually come with the power and authority to influence ..
… but it also comes with responsibility and accountability for what is done
… Usually because choices have consequences , some of which may be very serious.

Therefore, even though Eve caused the fall
… It was still known as Adam’s sin , as her headship
… therefore the consequences of the failure of someone under his authority is still attributed to him!
… Which in this case was death, as the wages of the sin.

Romans 5:14 NKJV
– Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam , who is a type of Him who was to come.

1 Corinthians 15:22 NKJV
– For as in Adam all die , even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

>> Is there a problem we have today with male headship?
The model of the biblical male an endangered specie?
… consequences of a neglected boy child?
Failing to lead…
… is still leading in failure!!

Because of the fall of mankind, foundations were distorted
… and principles of male headship as well became distorted and hence face challenges to this day in society

Psalm 82:5 KJV
– They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Psalms 11:3 AMP
“ If the foundations [of a godly society] are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”

》 Rocky foundations ensue when males fail to take leadership!!??

~ Abraham listened to Sarah – Genesis 16:2; Genesis 21

…but the head of man is Christ…
… and man dishonors his head when he does things without consultation with the head ( covers his head)??
> 1 Corinthians 11:3-4??

Therefore the male has a serious responsibility of leadership
… He has the leadership role
… whether he likes it or not
… whether he acknowledges it or not
… such that as it is said…if
… HE FAILS TO LEAD
… HE IS IN FACT STILL LEADING, BUT IN FAILURE!!

Prayer …
Males need to be guided
… indeed by the wisdom & power of the Holy Spirit
… to take back their position
… of leadership & headship
… and act accordingly
… taking responsibility & being accountable
… so as to fulfill their divine mandate
… in families
… in the Church
… in society & the nation

Isaiah 58:12 BSB
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of the Streets of Dwelling.
